Editing the light

Hey guysssss. Just Sofia here working on the video. Today is the second editing day and I will smash it! Im in charge of editing the light and all that jazz. So obviously editing and adjusting the lighting is not gonna work with iMovie. I did some research and the best editing app for this job was CapCut. I swear that’s the next best things after iMovie. CapCut is just simple and easy to work. Okay so to begin I add the video from the iMovie editing into CapCut. Once the video has exported, I snip every scene so they can be separated. I have to do this because if not while I edit one scenes the whole video will edit along with it. It’s not fun to go through all of it and separate. However, my good attitude makes everything fun! Lollll. Okay so now that everything is separated, I now go to the first few scenes which are outside in the natural light. The group was kinda dumb to film during broad daylight outside because it’s gonna be hard to make it look a little later and darker. Not to worry, when something goes wrong Sofias got it! I start off lowering the brightness of those clips outside. This already makes the light less bright. I then go to the saturation and very  slightly lower in. I also lower the exposure and contrast. With all of this, I rewatch those specific clips and make sure it doesn’t look to unnatural. It did a little tbh (To be honest). It was definitely the exposure and saturation that was messing it up. I went and bumped up those two and this helped everything a lot. Okay so now that the hardest part is done, all the rest is easy. I lower the saturation and add shadows to the rest of the clips. While I do this I’m watching that lighting doesn’t look weird. I successfully finish the adjusting and lighting. So that’s it for that. Now I will help to add the titles into the film. That’s the last step and then the group has finished their final task video. See you guys in the next blog. Byeeeeeee.
