CCR

Image
Hey guyss! Sofia here and done with the last step of the whole project, the CCR. Everything during this experience was great and very fun. I learned many different tips and things to keep in mind for A level media next year. I honestly can't wait for the second part of this class and to get into some higher level filming. Even just making this CCR was a lot of fun. Brainstorming ideas and actually executing them all on my own made me very proud of my self. My group has been awesome and hopefully next year I will be able to work with some of them. Can't wait to continue! Bye Blog. See yaaaaaa

Final Task: Opening Sequence

Image
Okay so this is the third project with Kazmin and the girls and again its gone very smoothly. The group itself has always had great chemistry and always had a lot of fun. We are able to integrate different people within out group and they have fun too. We actually have people from school ask to film with us because when we do, it so much fun. Maybe even more fun than when we regularly hang out. When we film, I learn a lot and realize things. Like I know that Jenna and I do the most work in the group but that's fine because it works for the group. We aren't drowning in work. Jenna and I just understand how to do things better than the others. I also learned that having everything planned before filming is really the best way to effectively film and not waste time. Hopefully the group can continue to make projects in the A level class. I hope Kazmin and the girls never separates because it really is the best group. I had a lot of fun during every single process of this ta

Adding the titles!

Image
Hey blogggg. Sofia here ready to add all the titles. The titles is what will make this project what it needs to be. Obviously with the help of my awesome filming and acting skills. Anyways so Jenna and I made a plan to work together on the adding of the titles. She would plan out where to add the titles with the times she want to add the in. She would write this down on a list and send me that list. I would then use my handy dandy skills and physically add the texts into the film. Once I double checked that her list was good and made sense, I went in headfirst. I started with the first titles and for every text I add I have to chose the font and the animation. The animation is basically how the title is gonna show up. I checked canvas for the specific requirements that each title needs to have. These include not having more than 3 different fonts and also having the last name of every name bolder or capitalized. I took a list of all this making sure I did everything I needed to. I use

Editing the light

Image
Hey guysssss. Just Sofia here working on the video. Today is the second editing day and I will smash it! Im in charge of editing the light and all that jazz. So obviously editing and adjusting the lighting is not gonna work with iMovie. I did some research and the best editing app for this job was CapCut. I swear that’s the next best things after iMovie. CapCut is just simple and easy to work. Okay so to begin I add the video from the iMovie editing into CapCut. Once the video has exported, I snip every scene so they can be separated. I have to do this because if not while I edit one scenes the whole video will edit along with it. It’s not fun to go through all of it and separate. However, my good attitude makes everything fun! Lollll. Okay so now that everything is separated, I now go to the first few scenes which are outside in the natural light. The group was kinda dumb to film during broad daylight outside because it’s gonna be hard to make it look a little later and darker. Not t

It’s time to snip!

Hey guys! Only Sofia reporting here today. So today we began the editing process. I was on cropping duty which basically means I have to cut out all the unnecessary footage in our scenes. However, before I can do that I need to obtain an editing software program. Usually I always use IMovie because it’s easy and simple. This time I will use iMovie to join all the clips but not to crop the clips. This app called CapCut was recommended to me by my sister. She often edits her favorite T- Shows or anime’s that she watches. She’s been making these edits for years now so I trust her opinion. She told me the app would be easy for me to use and still get a sharp finish for the edits. So I downloaded CapCut on my laptop and began the editing. First I uploaded all the raw footage to the cap cut. Then I went through each scene and cut out the seconds that aren’t needed for the opening sequence. I took note on some of the clips that didn’t have the best lighting. I sent the group chat with the ot

Sofia to the rescueeeeeeee

Hey guysss. Sofia here again talking about the second day of filming for the opening sequence project with Kazmin and the girls.    So now I’m just trying to film the last few scenes. These scenes take more time due to more components and complications getting in the way of the perfect shot. Also I had new ideas while filming theses clips and when I shared them, the group also shared their ideas. I liked them too so I tried to integrate them together.    This caused more time being spent on just trying to execute all the great ideas. However, the group captured all the scenes needed in a good time frame. The last scene was the only one that could pose a serious problem. The plan was to physically paint our title with fake blood on a wall. I made sure that Kazmin and the girls were granted with permission to paint on the wall. The wall the group had permission to work on was outside but the only condition was I had to make sure that the group would all clean up after themselves. Jenna r
